AVATAR - Love,Action,Colour all in Titanic proportions

So forgive me, if i'm in love with an golden-eyed blue alien(read:NOT ah lian) hot amazonian babe. I know how Cpt Kirk felt when he mating with aliens. The last time i fell for an amazonian woman was Wonder Woman. Hollywood is still looking for a star that can fill those big shoes.
But it's not the physical aspect that i love. It's how her protective motherly instincts kick in, together with killer instincts that seemed to blend together well. Love, courage, filial piety, passion, anger, calmness and most of all, a woman of wisdom were qualities Neytiri exihibited. These are the epitomes of a woman men will die for...these are the things i fell for.
As for the film, it borders on Bollywood proportions, as it inched towards 2 hours 43 mins of timeline, enough to get one bored. But the action, colour, the visual circus kept me going, even asking for me. As it was in 3D, half the time i was trying to grab Neytiri.I could almost touch and feel her :)
This is definitely Oscar material, gunning for the best film and best director. And why not especially if Cameron took 14 years to make this,he truly deserves it. Of course the story is closely related to the fracas of the Iraq war, and the global deterioration, and the greed of the human race, but it's a good reminder.
I am just wondering how more real it can get, with the technology being improved even further. I will watch again, and I'm giving full marks for this.
5* - Excellent cast,story..and everything about the movie
Cast:Sam Worthington,Zoe Saldana,Sigourney Weaver,Stephen Lang

eLearnForex

Lauching soon 1st week of December 2009, I am definitely looking forward the StayHomeMillionairesClub new e-learning programme, Forex trading.

Look through the papers today and you will see at least 3 ads for Forex trading, and the venues are filled to brim.Nothwithstanding the fact that these guys have made their mark in the forex trade, it's also very expensive, and it starts from $3500 to about $10,000, for a 3-day programme. I don't know about you, but 3 days is so much to cramp your brain with stuff.

Even with self made proprietary tools, one cannot guarantee a grand success after the 3 day programme. What if you have videos(70 of them actually) that guides you through at your own time, in fact you have 6 months to learn them? And a dedicated daily reports plus weekly seminars with the gurus on Forex? All these at a low low price of US$998!and just by recommending one person you get US$900 as commission. That's the business proposition SHMC offers to its candidates. There is NO such programme out there that offers this to people who wants to learn Forex.PLus you get 6 months FREE internet marketing learning programme, so that's a big plus!

It's coming soon so watch for this space.

WHich Fish are you?

As I was travelling on the road yesterday, i noticed a truck that was carrying fishes in a plastic container.

I then noticed that they were ornamental fishes. Fishes can go at prices that goes in the thousands. So I asked myself, what is it that makes it so special?what makes them so expensive?

I can say it's the colours perhaps.

But guppies have nice colours too. And literally, they are a dime a dozen.

I realised then, that like fishes, we all have different values put on us. Maybe it's how people look at us..

Some of us are ornamemental fishes-not much to do except look pretty.

Some of us are like guppies...Good to look at but really, not much value

Some of us are like Salmon- Always fighting upstream just to survive

Some of us are like the Tenggiri fish- Born to be food for others

Then some are like Sharks, no need to explain that.

But in every fish species, we are bound to be one of them.

So the next time you go to an aquarium, take a nice close look and see, which fish is YOU?

Movie Review: Inglorious Basterds

Another Quentin Tarantino's masterpiece! Gripping from the start, it may not be an action packed movie, but it still has its moments. The character that stands out from the start is the villain jew Hunter, Landa, with his wry clever dialogue delivery, and an excellent protrayal that earned him an award.

The movie centers around a gaggle of Nazi hunters, bent on terrorising the German soldiers by scalping them, leaving one survivor to tell the ordeal, and another interwoven story of a Jewish cinema proprietress, who schemes to kill the entire Nazi soldiers, including Hitler on an opening night.

This has Tarantino written all over, and it's a cleverly written fictional story.

I give it 4.5 out of 5*

Incredible India!

It's almost a week since i arrived in India. What a wonderful experience. First there's a joy to meet up with my family once again, both my own and extended. And the experience of both a laid back society, and a fast paced one,co-existing together, in Kerala.

You will find good and the not-so-good people here.Still the mere co-existence of both, is quite a spectacle sometimes.I had my bad experience with the train rides, and auto-rickshaw drivers. I almost blew up at a rude driver. One stare and he got off scooting away.Nice people are ones who know you are a foreigner, and make it as comfortable for you..

Good times so far, now looking forward for the wedding this weekend, and my first Onam festival in India.

Looking forward to that much.

1 More Week...

It's been close to 2 months since my family has been away. My wife told me that i should be enjoying my "bachelorhood" since they will be away.2 months later, and i still feel like a "lost soul". Friends i meant to catch up with never happened. Things I meant to do never happened. My work has taken my time, so it's status quo in that area.

In short, i just can't be without my family. I miss especially my son Ryan. Asher is barely 2 months old, so i don't feel the attachment yet.I speak to Rekha often, so it's still not so bad. End of the day, no matter how much fights, misunderstandings, tantrums that you think sours a relationship, i still love my family.

Absence do make the heart grow fonder. When my mum was away for 2 weeks, i missed her so much as well. Too many things are taken for granted. I missed fighting and shouting with her, and when she came back, i had to make some things purposely for her to scold me, and that was music to my ears...hahaha..weird rite?

I just wonder if i will miss my dad, if he goes for a trip. We were like 2 bachelors together, but hardly ever exchanging a word, except "Have you eaten". Bur deep down inside, i know that we both love each other. I should thank the good Lord, for the blessings He has shown to me and my family.

Beautiful!..this thing called family

Success Mentoring 101:Self-Motivation

Movie Review: 5 fingers

Martijn (Phillipe), a gifted Dutch jazz pianist, flies to Morocco to set up a food assistance program. When he arrives, however, he and his travel guide, Gavin (Meaney) are quickly kidnapped by terrorists, taken to an undisclosed location, bound and blindfolded. The captors swiftly kill Gavin and then begin methodical attempts to extract information from Martijn about where he obtained the money to set up the program by cutting off his fingers one at a time. Martijn insists that he has no idea where the money came from, though in time it becomes clear that all is not what it seems. As the torture continues, Ahmat (Fishburne) tries his hardest to get answers from Martijn.

The movie has some subtle acting styles that gives a highly pitched story into a calm collected movie. NO action sequences and it was more like watching a single scene theatre. But i like the ending, very well acted!

Movie Review: My Sister's Keeper

Adapted from the book of the same name, this movie is a poignant tear-jerker about a girl,Anna, who is engineered in-vitro for the sole purpose of helping her sister,Kate dying of cancer. When Kate succumbs to renal failure, and the sister Anna's kidney was to be used for her, Anna decides to sue the parents for medical emancipation, thus relieving her of her "duties"

What transpires in the movie, with it's slow pace and intermittent flashbacks, slowly reveals the relationships between the sisters and the mum,who is the prominent protagonist.

Watchable movie, just get ready with a box of tissues. Cameron Diaz at her best!

Rating: 3/5stars

Testimonial from Kelly

Daniel is forward looking and progressive, a person who supports change, innovation & human advancement. Strongly committed to humanitarian cause and social improvement. On a personal level, very friendly and express a kind of impersonal good will towards others. He’s a good friend and a comrade, who is objective and fair. Truly interested in the good of the whole and only for his own personal well-being

Daniel is someone, who goes through thick and thin with anyone, goal orientated, a hard worker. He is very sincere, not only with his words but also through his actions. He has been very patient in all the questions I have asked him over countless of times. He exudes positive vibes when you meet him, always smiling in any situation. His goal is to succeed, and he will also make sure you succeed along with him. I would like to take this chance to say, Thank you! Daniel for this opportunity at SHMC! Let’s rock & roll !!!

Movie Review:Taking of Pelham 123

A rather predictable movie by Denzel Washinton and John Travolta. A thriller with a slower pace than expected. A train was hijacked by Travolta, only to be twarted by Washington, is a run-of-the-mill movie.

I expected more turns and twists in this movie but am disappointed inspite of a star cast. As usual Travolta played his best as a villain, but Washington was a disappointment.

Ratings: 2.5 out of 5stars. Wait for the DVD.

An Ode to Noemi:

Closer to Heaven,
When I'm with you,
Closer to Heaven,
When you make me laugh,
Closer to Heaven,
When your friendship you made true,
Closer to Heaven,
with your jokes you split me into half.

Now that you are in Heaven,
I miss the times we had,
even when you were leavin',
you broke my heart made me so sad...
I wish I had the last dance with you,
when the last time i was with you,
Even when your spirit left,
I could still feel you.

Love you my friend Noemi,
for you are the one who will always know me.

To my friend who is with the Lord since July 20th 2008

Movie Review: I Love You Man

This is a hilarious comedy by Paul Rudd and Jason Segal. I remember seeing paul Rudd in episodes of Friends, which were very funny and Jason Segal, in "Forgetting Sarah marshall" was equally hilarious.

So when you put 2 very funny actors in a buddy movie, it's hilarious! Paul is more of a 'girfriend guy' and doesn't have any guy friends. So when he get's engaged, it was high time to find a "best man" and therein lies the plot, often with hilarious results. Especially when he was fixed up on a 'man-date' with a gay.

This movie is among the best in the ranks of "There's Something about Mary"

I give it a rating of 4.5 out of 5

Club Millionaires revamped

I just revamped my site Club Millionaires(www.club-millionaires.com),wordpress style. Reason for doing that, is that now my site and blog are merged and instead of having 2 sites, site addresses, i know merged them..it will go through some changes as i learn to tweak them, but i love what i am doing.

I learnt that if you are promoting a business, then the free wordpress has limitations. But if you host on your own, it's a good marketing tool. As for my personal site, i just wanna make it as a blog, about my thought process(which can be long winded, like me),my pet peeves, and , oh yes, wanna blog about movies and it's TIME, for that too.
