It's almost a week since i arrived in India. What a wonderful experience. First there's a joy to meet up with my family once again, both my own and extended. And the experience of both a laid back society, and a fast paced one,co-existing together, in Kerala.
You will find good and the not-so-good people here.Still the mere co-existence of both, is quite a spectacle sometimes.I had my bad experience with the train rides, and auto-rickshaw drivers. I almost blew up at a rude driver. One stare and he got off scooting away.Nice people are ones who know you are a foreigner, and make it as comfortable for you..
Good times so far, now looking forward for the wedding this weekend, and my first Onam festival in India.
Looking forward to that much.

1 More Week...
It's been close to 2 months since my family has been away. My wife told me that i should be enjoying my "bachelorhood" since they will be away.2 months later, and i still feel like a "lost soul". Friends i meant to catch up with never happened. Things I meant to do never happened. My work has taken my time, so it's status quo in that area.
In short, i just can't be without my family. I miss especially my son Ryan. Asher is barely 2 months old, so i don't feel the attachment yet.I speak to Rekha often, so it's still not so bad. End of the day, no matter how much fights, misunderstandings, tantrums that you think sours a relationship, i still love my family.
Absence do make the heart grow fonder. When my mum was away for 2 weeks, i missed her so much as well. Too many things are taken for granted. I missed fighting and shouting with her, and when she came back, i had to make some things purposely for her to scold me, and that was music to my ears...hahaha..weird rite?
I just wonder if i will miss my dad, if he goes for a trip. We were like 2 bachelors together, but hardly ever exchanging a word, except "Have you eaten". Bur deep down inside, i know that we both love each other. I should thank the good Lord, for the blessings He has shown to me and my family.
Beautiful!..this thing called family

Movie Review: 5 fingers
Martijn (Phillipe), a gifted Dutch jazz pianist, flies to Morocco to set up a food assistance program. When he arrives, however, he and his travel guide, Gavin (Meaney) are quickly kidnapped by terrorists, taken to an undisclosed location, bound and blindfolded. The captors swiftly kill Gavin and then begin methodical attempts to extract information from Martijn about where he obtained the money to set up the program by cutting off his fingers one at a time. Martijn insists that he has no idea where the money came from, though in time it becomes clear that all is not what it seems. As the torture continues, Ahmat (Fishburne) tries his hardest to get answers from Martijn.
The movie has some subtle acting styles that gives a highly pitched story into a calm collected movie. NO action sequences and it was more like watching a single scene theatre. But i like the ending, very well acted!

Movie Review: My Sister's Keeper
Adapted from the book of the same name, this movie is a poignant tear-jerker about a girl,Anna, who is engineered in-vitro for the sole purpose of helping her sister,Kate dying of cancer. When Kate succumbs to renal failure, and the sister Anna's kidney was to be used for her, Anna decides to sue the parents for medical emancipation, thus relieving her of her "duties"
What transpires in the movie, with it's slow pace and intermittent flashbacks, slowly reveals the relationships between the sisters and the mum,who is the prominent protagonist.
Watchable movie, just get ready with a box of tissues. Cameron Diaz at her best!
Rating: 3/5stars
